Back in 2005 my partner Mark and I went through our first
miscarriage. In a new town where we knew hardly anyone and family was
too far away to be there in support, we found ourselves feeling very
alone with no one who understood the pain we were going through, no one
who knew the emptiness and pain we were feeling. After the initial
falling apart period I decided that rather than complain about the lack
of support I would set about to DO something about it. Hence the website Circles of
Love was formed.
I wanted to create a site where ladies could talk
amongst themselves without fear of judgement. I wanted a site where
people could relax and discuss things, that perhaps they can't talk
about with other people. But most of all I wanted somewhere that people
could get support when they need it. In fact, if I was to sum Circles of
Love in one word, that word would have been SUPPORT.
Mark and I were to go through 2 more miscarriages before going on to
have a successful pregnancy that would result in identical twin
girls. But that doesn't take away the pain that we went through and
it was some of the friends I made, that helped me to get through it.
However, Circles of Love was outgrown - the baby became the adult
and now we're looking at moving forward into the future and
exploring what else we are capable of
. I am lucky in the fact that I have people
who have come onboard to help us with this transition and we look
forward to bringing you a bigger and better forum
For those trying to conceive,
it is one of the hardest times in a couples life. Here you'll
be able to talk to other people going through the same experiences
and hopefully support each other through the disappointments and the triumphs.
For
those of you who are pregnant - congratulations on your
precious bundle. We look forward to sharing the
next 9 months, hearing your progress and awaiting that
exciting day.
Then
there are us Mums with young children.
It's fun sharing the moments in your childs life with
other people who share the same passion as you.
The aim
of MUM is to continue to provide the support
network for ladies trying to conceive, going through a pregnancy, or the
raising of our precious children and beyond. It is also about how as
Mums we understand what Mums go through.
What we eventually would like to be able to do is be able to
provide some of the basics when you are looking at TTC, because lets
face it, things can get quite daunting at times. We also hope provide congratulation packs when an active
member has just given birth, or sympathy packs when the worst happens
and someone loses a much loved and wanted baby. At one stage or another,
we all need to know there is someone there who will listen......someone
who cares.
We want to be able to extend a helping hand to those who need it.
